Antique Victorian Mahogany Leather Top Desk

Description

Nice quality antique Victorian mahogany pedestal desk with loads of character & in good original condition. It has a hand coloured tooled leather writing surface & is polished on the back. The top drawers have locks & all the drawers are graduated in depth. Most of the drawers have compartments inside, which we forgot to photo, but can provide images if so wished. The drawers have brass ring handles & they sit on plinth bases. I would date this desk to around the 1840-60 period & it’s very good quality. It also comes apart into three sections for easy transportation. This desk is a nice in-between size & the kneehole space is a generous size.

Depth – 31 inches, 79 cm

Height – 30 inches, 76 cm

Knee height – 24 inches, 60 cm
