Description

Very impressive large late 19th.c. walnut ottoman stool or window seat c.1890. Lift-up top with a carved edge and deep sprung seat pad. Walnut base with superb carved frieze with acanthus detail and moulded plinth, continued on the sides (note the rear is left plain) and raised on slim turned bun feet. Useful storage inside for linens, shoes etc (internal height 10"). Vintage upholstery with some wear, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
