Description

Antique figured walnut three door wardrobe dating from the 1890-1900 period & in very good original condition. It’s Queen Anne style & is good quality with fine dovetails in the drawers. This wardrobe has a double arched shaped top, three figured walnut panelled doors, three drawers below with cross banded edges & sits on short Queen Anne feet with shell carvings. It also has the original brass handles & locks. The inside has a double hanging space on the left & adjustable shelves on the right hand side. These could be taken out & a rail put in if one required more hanging space. However, I think it’s a useful combination as it is. This can also be dismantled very easily for easy transportation. The top cornice lifts off & the two top sections lift of from the drawers. This wardrobe has a lovely warm honey colour & plenty of character. There is loads of storage & even some extra compartments at the top inside.
