This beautifully decorated Japanese Satsuma vase dates from the early Twentieth century with paintings showing a family of chickens and Bamboo Groves. The extraordinary and finely detailed painting is complemented by a more modern, artistic style separating the two subjects on the vase.
Kinkozan pottery was the largest (and one of the finest) producer of Satsuma ware during the Meiji-Period and the studio was active from 1645 - 1927.
