Over time with Thomas Tompion, Joseph Knibb, the Handscombe family and others like Clare and Pepper amongst others being nearby Clockmakers, Bedfordshire has been an important horological area. Thomas Allen at Shefford followed in their foot steps circa 1800-1814. The 8 Day Striking Movement has been Checked, Oiled & Tested to be in Good & Full Antique Working Condition. Small Oak Longcase 79.25in or 201cm high with Attractive "Sun Ray" Pediment and Tiger Graining to the wood.
