Antique Stained Pine Blanket Box

1900 - 1920
Description

A good large antique pine box dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. It is very well made with dovetail joints and its original faux mahogany stained finish. It has its orginal metal carrying handles and original hinges. It is a good size for a coffee table, end of the bed storage or toy trunk.

The box is in good condition for its age and displays well. It is strong and sturdy and it is very clean and tidy inside. There are signs of use and age, some general knocks, marks and small chips and areas where the stain has worn but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
