Description

This is a fine and ornate large jug or pitcher made by Thomas Farren and hallmarked in London 1737.
It is in very good condition and sits firmly on a raised circular base. There is a double scroll handle with applied decoration including a thumbpiece. The entire body of the jug is decorated with swags, roundels etc. the jug has been made with a heavy gauge of silver as one would expect from this maker who was appointed as a goldsmith to the King.
A jug/pitcher of high quality and practicality from this highly respected Georgian silversmith.
