Antique Mahogany Side Table by Edwards & Roberts

19th century
Description

A superb mahogany side table dating from the late 19th Century. It is set on tapering square legs terminating in brass castors. It has a raised gallery along the back side and it has two drawers, each with its original brass ring pull handle. The drawer is stamped "Edwards & Roberts". Good proportions, perfect for a hallway or a small writing desk.

It is in excellent condition and is strong and sturdy. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside. The colour is rich and has a wonderful patina. There are some signs of age and use and light surface marks but nothing detrimental. There is a small chip to the back of the gallery but no other damages. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask.
