Description

An extremely rare 18th Century ash and elm bacon settle. The upper section having a moulded cornice above twin triple panelled ash doors with a charming primitive scribed pig to the right hand door and a monogram to the left hand door. Opening to reveal the original hanging hooks for tenderising meat and having a wonderful burr elm seat above twin rectangular drawers with elm fronts and turned knobs. English circa 1750-1770

Dimensions: 73" high x 24" deep x 60" wide (seat 17" high x 57" wide x 14" deep)

Condition: This settle is in wonderful condition, a fantastic colour and patination. Some extinct woodworm which has been treated again.
