Hingstons of Wilton has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
This Antique walnut chest of drawers was made in the 19thc. using the same style and construction of a George I example.
It was custom made by a highly skilled cabinetmaker for a wealthy family who lived in Surrey.

As it is of a lovely small size that will enable you to fit it in many places around your home.
These chests with the brushing slides are quite often called bachelors chests.

The chest is fitted the brushing slide lined in baize, below the slide are a pair of half width drawers under and then a further 3 full width graduated drawers under, all have feather banding and are lined in fine oak.

The top is cross banded with feather banding.
All the drawers have their original cut brass swing handles.
