This is one of a group of rare & original Mid-19th Century ''wanted'' posters collected by a local elderly gentleman - during his life-time he accumulated a vast collection of social history linked to Dorking in Surrey & Horsham in West Sussex. Ten Pounds reward in 1847 would be approximately £1000 today.When considering the original function and age of the poster it is in remarkably good condition. We have had the poster professionally framed and mounted - an off white mount with a solid light oak frame and backed with acid-free board.
