An earlier example of a French carriage clock. A one piece case with the original case gilding. An enamel dial with Roman numerals and 'moon' blued steel hands. . An 8-day duration timepiece mechanism with the original escapement. Engraved to the lower back panel 'From EWG September 1860. Circa 1859.
