Fine quality 19th.c. marble topped washstand by the celebrated Manchester manufacturers Doveston Bird & Hull c.1860. Original white marble top with rounded edges and a low gallery to the sides and rear. On a mahogany base with nine drawers arranged around a central kneehole. Moulded drawer fronts with turned mahogany knobs and solid mahogany drawer linings. Moulded plinths around the bases, raised on the original castors. Clear maker’s stamp to the top of the centre drawer. Excellent colour and condition with a couple of small repairs to the sides. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
