Georgian Mahogany London Longcase Clock. Circa 1775

Description

Magnificent George III highly figured mahogany cased London longcase or grandfather clock with 8 day striking movement by John Brown, Opposite King's Mews, Charing Cross. The engraved silvered dial with strike silent hand at top. Movement all in perfect working order. The case in superb original condition. Wonderful deep rich colour with fine waxed patina. Comes with all keys. A top quality clock by a good London maker.

Size; 96" high overall. 19" wide at base, 10" deep at base. 12" dial.
