This Edwardian mahogany 2 leaf extending dining table was made circa 1900 using one of the best grades of mahogany available at the time.

This Edwardian dining table extends easily using the patent winding mechanism by using the handle photographed.

You can use this table without the leaves or a combination of the 2 extra leaves. Thus, making this very versatile for you when you have a small party or if more place settings are required.

To the four corners the tables stands on lovely carved cabriole legs with the claw and ball feet.

Imagine how this would have been transported from the workshops to the purchaser or to the showrooms. We take it for granted how items of this size are carried today, but when this was made the horse and wagon would be used. It would have been loaded on the wagon by porters who then would secure it in place. Once secured it could then be driven by the team to perhaps a train station or through the City to its domestic setting in one of the more salubrious areas to where it would serve the householders.
