A Modernist Pair of Silver Paper Scissors & Letter Opener

A rare cased set of silver handled letter opener and paper scissors. The set is designed in the Modernist taste and features engine turned decoration to the shanks. There is a retailers mark for Solingen, suggesting German origins, but the import hallmarks allow dating. A stylish and usable set and a great gift idea. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits to the silver and no damage to the blade or cutters. The scissors cut well.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable.

Date :- Import marks for London 1961.

Maker :- Solingen.

Length :- 19.5 cms.

Width :- 6.25 cms. (widest point of scissor handles).
