Description

This beautiful rug from the Dosmealti region of western Anatolia consists of a stunning vegetable-dye green field depicting stylised floral motifs placed spontaneously throughout the field. The ivory highlighting produces an amazing glowing effect around these motifs - quite spectacular! The overall pile is evenly low but I would suggest a date of around 1850.
