Description

A decorative marquetry inlaid dropdial wall clock. A carved pendulum door aperture and the original side carvings. A brass bezel surround to the painted dial with blued steel Maltese cross hands. An 8-day duration striking the hours on a bell.

W. Witham & Sons are recorded in Loomes' 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of The World' book as working in Abingdon from 1837-1877. This example dates to circa 1875.
