A beautiful antique French gilt brass table clock of good size with excellent original gilding. The is clock is square in shape and clock is modelled in the round, ideal for displaying on a table.
The domed top is fretted with finely detailed stylised swans and the panel below the dial is also fretted and features a goddess mask.

The dial is also gilded brass, fitted with 12 individual enamel cartouche letters. The rear door is glazed with frosted glass.
The French movement is of excellent quality and has the clockmakers / retailers mark 'BR' on the movement backplate. It has the superior rack striking mechanism. It runs for 8 days on one wind and strikes the hours and half hours on a bell. It is complete with it's original pendulum and is in excellent working order having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Condition is excellent, the case has a clean and bright finish with some wear or tarnish / discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition with just some very slight chipping next to the winding holes and some very slight fading to the lettering on the cartouches.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
