Fine Edwardian Musical Tubular Bells Long Case Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A fine three train long case clock The 12 inch arch dial with subsidiary strike / silent dial, and a further subsidiary dial, to select , Westminster Whittington or Saint Michael chimes. The dial is finely overlaid with pierced and engraved foliate brass decoration. The 8 day musical movement has eight hammers striking eight Tubular Bells, giving a lovely mellow sound and another striking the hours. The whole clock Exudes quality. This clock once stood in the premises of Sermons Torquay for which it bears a plaque. This plaque can be reversed to a blank.
