Description

Purchased locally as a collection, three antique 19th.c. staddle stones. Originally used for supporting granaries to prevent vermin and damp, they have long been popular as garden ornaments. Slight difference in size, all three in hand dressed sand stone with loose caps on flared circular (rather than square) columns. All nicely weathered and greened with age.
