Description

A Fine quality mahogany inlaid Edwardian Period desk by Maple & Co of London. Constructed using the finest figured mahogany throughout and having a brass gallery above the tambour front which opens automatically when the lower drawer is opened, which in-turn allows the hinged writing surface to be accessed. With three interior mahogany lined drawers and the front having fine marquetry and pen-work panel depicting the Arts. The mahogany lined drawer with Hobs & Co lock, another sign of the quality of this piece. Supported on square tapering supports with spade feet, united by a shaped under-tier, with boxwood string inlay throughout. English circa 1900

Dimensions: 29" wide x 20" deep x 37" high (30" high to writing surface)

Condition: This desk is in superb original condition, cleaned and waxed
