Smart pair of bamboo armchairs with black lacquer seats and a matching square centre-table.
.

The free-standing 2-tier square lamp or centre table of en-suite design with a corresponding black lacquer tops . The lower tier with geometric design gallery edges.
Exotic Chinese furniture of this style was imported into Europe from the early C18th and it's design influenced great English furniture designers and architects ,such as Thomas Chippendale and Sir William Chambers ( see illustration below 'Designs for Chinese Buildings' 1757 ).

The design influences of China and the East , were particularly popular during the Regency period of the early C19th, and notably Brighton Pavilion was furnished in this extraordinarily extravagant genre for the Prince Regent .

In excellent original condition with no damage or repairs. The lacquer panels to the seats and table tops have achieved a good period-style worn aged surface and patination.
