Antique Mother of Pearl Opera Glasses with Lorgnette Handle C.1900

Description

A splendid pair of late Victorian or Edwardian Opera Glasses, made from polished brass having been professionally cleaned and restored to their former glory.

The glasses are in full working order and clad in Mother of Pearl or Nacre shell with it's iridescent qualities. Made in France around 1900, these were imported here in England and retailed by a Liverpool optician, Haigh Ltd. 77 Lord St. Liverpool.

They come with a modern pouch, not the perfect fit but good for protection. Excellent condition measuring approximately 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" while folded up.
