Really unusual Art Deco hallmarked solid silver christening mug or small tankard. Full Birmingham hallmark with the date letter for 1931 and the makers mark for William Neale Ltd. The body is rare in shape being 12 sided with a stepped geometric base and a Georgian style handle. Rare and unusual combination by this really collectable and top quality maker. Stands 3 inches 7.5 cm tall, 2 7/8 inches 7.3 cm in diameter and 3 3/4 inches 9.5 cm handle to rim. The silver weight is 102.3 grams, heavy for a mug this size. Excellent condition, no damage or repairs. Apologies for any reflections in the pictures, these are not marks in the silver. No engraving to any part of the mug.
