Description

Highly decorative, this high Victorian basket is a real stunner, from it's scalloped shape, beaded border, beaded swing handle to the riot of engraved decoration with a variety of ferns and a few flowers.

Dating to around 1870, this English basket is marked on the underside EP for Electro-Plated together with the makers mark. There is a central cartouche with a monogram, I think J C.

Superb condition

A highly decorative centrepiece and ready for use. The basket measures 11" x 8 3/4" and standing 9" tall to top of handle. The basket stands on four beautiful pierced feet. Superb condition.
