Description

Joseph Rose London. A fine mahogany long case clock. With an eight day striking five pillar movement. The arched brass dial with a strike silent dial flanked by Dolphin spandrels, the matted centre with a subsidiary second the dial within a scalloped aperture, signed Joseph Rose and son London. Over a calendar aperture within a silvered chapter ring, displaying Roman and Arabic numerals. The spandrels depict figures in various pursuits. Everything is present and as it should be including the brass sleeved weights and pendulum. Height to the arch 227 cm. Excluding eagle finial. An interesting feature is the original label inside the door. This clock is in lovely condition and ready to go immediately into a fine home, and grace any room.
