Description

A mahogany 19th Century Antique 8 Day Grandfather clock by Samuel Lister, Bolton. A wonderful example of a George III Period 8 day grandfather clock. With an arched painted dial with a rolling moon, date aperture and integral second hand with hand painted detail and Roman numerals. The case has a chippendale inspired blind fretwork pierced cornice with three turned mahogany finials and with turned column supports with corinthian capitols. The trunk having a gothic arched flamed mahogany door and cluster column supports which are repeated on the corners of the flamed mahogany base. Supported on shaped ogee bracket feet. The 8 day movement striking a bell on the hour and having been over hauled and serviced by our horologist and the dial professionally repainted to its original glory. English circa 1780-1800

Condition: This clock is in wonderful condition, cleaned, waxed and serviced
