Edwardian Silver Card Case 1905

1900 - 1920
Description

A fabulously decorated Solid Silver Card Case made by the well-known and sought after silversmiths, Crisford & Norris in 1905.

Of shaped oblong form with a superbly embossed design of scrolls and Acanthus Leaves to one side and scrolls, trellis-work and floral design surrounding a large blank cartouche to the other. To the inside the original gilt coating is still present – a sign of real quality.

The Card Case has no added engravings, monograms or initials, the lid closes tightly, is of a size that can still be used with today's business / credit cards etc. and with very few signs of wear or use this lovely piece is in superb condition despite being almost 120 years old.

This is a real collector's item which would complement any collection.

Condition:

Used / Excellent

There is no damage and no repairs.

Dimensions:

Length – 4.0” (100mm) / Width – 2.75” (70mm)

Weight – 61gm / 1.95ozt
