Antique Victorian Mahogany Duet Piano Stool

Description

These antique duet piano stools are becoming very hard to find these day, because they are very popular & not just for use as piano stools. They work very well at the end of a bed or just as a window seat. This one is top quality & has useful storage inside. It’s solid mahogany, beautifully constructed, with deep carvings on the front & the back. There are carved arms either end with turned hand rails, grooved corners & more carvings on the tops of the shaped legs. The inside under the seat has two compartments & a metal stay to hold it up. The seat is upholstered in a pale blue velvet type fabric, which is still in good condition, so we didn’t recover it this time & to recover would cost much more than £50. This stool is in excellent condition, structurally sound & date to around the 1890’s period.
