George II Walnut Chest on Original Stand, Circa 1740

Description

Fine George II veneered figured walnut chest on its original cabriole leg stand. All oak lined drawers with period but not original handles. Solid elm ends. Drawers all feathered in elm. Has a few veneer repairs and the top section has been cut in half at some time (see images of ends). Wonderful honey colour with fine waxed patina. A handsome piece of furniture.

Size; 60" high, 38" wide, 21" deep.
