Large Antique Venetian Gilt Wood Mirror

19th century
Description

Very large & decorative antique gilt wood mirror dating from the early 19th century & possibly older. We believe it’s Italian & very unusual in the way it’s not only gilt, but has light blue & cream finishes too. The frame is beautiful & has wonderful floral details all over. There are even gilt dragons within it. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate these details. There are a few bits of carving missing in places & we haven’t done any restoration, so this mirror is just as we obtained it. The gilt work & painting has naturally aged. I do apologise about the images, because they are not up to our usual standard as we had to photograph it on the wall in the shop. If possible, please come to the shop to view it, because you will be amazed at how nice it is in real life.
