Large Antique French Gilt Wood Mirror

Description

This very large antique gilt wood & gesso mirror has some fabulous details, but unfortunately the images do not do it justice & it really needs to be seen in person. It’s early to mid-19th century, either French or Italian & has the original bevelled mirror, which does have a couple of scratches & a bit of spotting. We do have an expert who can take the scratches out, but the spotting is all part of the character. Please enlarge all the images to see all the details, because I couldn’t possibly mention them all. The gilding is original & naturally aged. It is very large at 72 inches wide & it took three of us to hang it. We will try to take better images without the reflections, but it’s hanging up in the shop, so it’s difficult.
