This William IV mahogany writing table was made circa 1820.

We re pleased to offer this wonderful writing table, that is fitted a pair of drawers to the front and the same format to the rear but are dummy drawers. This allows you to have this desk away from the wall and let you show this desk off to its best.

It stands on the most desirable of legs with the tulip leg carving that is a signature design of the William IV period.

Each of the legs at each corner are fitted the period brass cup castors.

We have re-leathered the writing surface in green gilt tooled hide leather. The hide is hand coloured and then finished to give the impression it has been on the desk since it was first made. This is a very skilled job, especially to get it to our standard.
