Large Silver Plate Turkey Meat Cover

1900 - 1920
Description

This fabulous silver plated meat cover by William Hutton & Sons which dates from c1910 is extra large making it perfect for covering a big roast or Christmas turkey.

The wonderful plain design looks super with it's fancy design handle for easy lifting.

This cover is excellent quality, a very nice large size and a good heavy gauge.

Measurements: approx 46 cm long (18"), 37 cm wide (14 1/2") and 29 cm (11 1/2") high including handle.

Weight: 2.8 kg approx.

Date: Early 20th century - c1910.

Material: Silver Plate. Brittania Plate.

Marked: Maker's mark of Cross Arrows and WH & S B P for William Hutton & Sons.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with some signs of use in keeping with age. Some scratches, small bruises, light marks and spots of tarnishing. Plate is in good condition with just a little wear. Original handle fits perfectly.
