Description

This rare and desirable silver corkscrew has a solid silver running fox handle which is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1944 and a steel bottom screw.

This wonderful quality corkscrew has lovely detail to the fox with beautiful ruby eyes. This stunning corkscrew is a good heavy weight and is made by high quality silversmith GW Lewis & Co.

Would make a wonderful gift for an animal lover and a great usable barware item that looks stunning on display.

Materials: Sterling silver fox. 2 x ruby eyes. Steel screw.

Hallmarked (Fox): Lion for sterling silver, Birmingham, date letter U for 1944 and maker's mark for GW Lewis & Co.

Bottom screw pull is marked Skyline England.

Total weight: 78.2 grams.

Length of fox: 9 cm (3 1/2") approx.

Condition: Excellent used condition with only very light signs of use in keeping with age. Please see pictures.
