Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Regency work table is a compact item of furniture originating from the early 19th century, designed primarily for needlework and small domestic crafts. These tables typically feature a flat top and a fabric pouch or well suspended underneath to hold textiles.

Craftsmen traditionally constructed Regency work tables using fine hardwoods such as rosewood, mahogany, and satinwood. The underlying structure often used oak or pine, while silk or pleated satin lined the suspended work baskets underneath.

Authentic pieces display characteristics such as dark, richly grained rosewood veneers, hand-cut dovetail joints on internal structures, and delicate turned or reeded legs. Period examples feature fabric wells designed to store sewing implements.

A Regency work table functions effectively as an occasional side table beside an armchair or sofa. Its compact footprint also makes it suitable as a nightstand or decorative accent piece in hallway nooks and window alcoves.

To preserve rosewood furniture, keep the item away from direct heat sources and sunlight to prevent the wood veneer from shrinking or fading. Clean surfaces with a soft, dry cloth and apply natural beeswax sparingly to maintain the wood surface.
