18th Century French Walnut Elbow Chair, Original Upholstery. Circa 1720

Description

Stunning early 18th. century provincial french walnut elbow chair with scroll arms and shaped legs and stretchers, covered in its original needlework upholstery. The needlework using both gros point and petit point stitching still retains its vibrant colours. The walnut frame is all original though with a little very old and very dead worm (treated). Great colour with fine waxed patina. The chair is all firm and ready to use.

Size; 47" high, 25" wide , 24" deep. 18" high seat.
