A very good oak coffer of desirable small size, the triple-panelled front within a moulded frame. Made predominantly from oak but including English walnut, elm inlay and cherry wood split bobbin turnings. Retaining its original hinges and candle box, this coffer displays a beautiful and richly patinated wax finish, circa 1645.
