Description

This is a really lovely dining table of exceedingly good quality, colour and grain. It will seat 8 with ease and without much difficulty seat two people on the ends to accomodate 10. The legs are fine and well turned and sit on the original patented castors by J W Lewty, this dates this excellent table to 1830 or just after. The graining is simply superb as can be seen in the pictures and not having a collar on the edges it gives great leg space. The table is 70 inches long with the 22inch leaf in place and will close down to seat 6 if you wanted to make it smaller day to day. It is a brilliant table for entertaining as one is able to speak to all menbers of the dinner party or family from anywhere that they may be seated. It is not as long as most tables that will seat this number of people but wider and having the lovely elegant fine leg set in from the sides it gives excellent flexibility. This French polished table is very sensibly priced for this lovely quality at £1850.

We have chairs available to go with this table if required. The 19th century set around the table currently are a good example and can be upholstered in your own choice of fabric. Prices of chairs do differ by quality, number and condition of course.
