A Handsome All Silver Pepper Grinder

1920 - 1940
Description

A handsome silver pepper grinder from the reign of George VI. This attractive piece has a fully hallmarked baluster shaped body and top. The top unscrews to facilitate re-filling with peppercorns. A good example, both practical and decorative. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no splits or dents. The mechanism works very well. There is one small blemish to the side shown in photograph and commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Fully marked, with matching part marks on all silver.

Date :- Birmingham 1938.

Maker :- John Grinsell & Sons.

Height :- 8.5 cms. (to top of knop).

Base diameter :- 5.5 cms.
