A very good quality early/mid 19th century two-train fusee WALL CLOCK in full working order.
The mahogany case is of conventional design with its narrow solid frame; cast brass bezel and convex glass. The very fine quality movement has twin trains, both chain-driven fusee, striking hours on a bell. The good convex dial retains its original paintwork and is signed: T. Lake Taunton. Perfect working order and guaranteed for at least two years.
***Thomas Lake worked in Taunton from 1793, based in East Street from 1822 and signed his work ''& Son'' (as here) from 1839 until 1852.
