Continental Silver "Owl" Letter Opener, Circa 1900

Description

This exquisite and unusual continental silver small paper knife bear continental hallmarks. The simple ivory blade mounted with a silver handle realistically modelled as an owl. The owl with detailed plumage, the eyes set with two dark green glass cabochons. Truly delightful!

Hallmarks:

830 for silver purity.

Maker's marks.

Condition:

Excellent.

Dimensions:

Length: 15cm / 5.6 inches.
