Antique Deep Buttoned Leather Wing Back Armchair

1900 - 1920
Description

Large antique deep buttoned leather wing armchair in great condition, with loads of character & a lovely original colour. This chair is very comfortable, with good back & head support. It has a high hump back, with deep shaped out wings, deep buttoned all over the inside & hand tacked on to the frame. All the leather is original & has just been revived & professionally polished, while still retaining a naturally aged look. The legs are solid mahogany with cross stretchers that help keep the frame sturdy. I would date this armchair to around the 1920-30’s period & it’s very much Chippendale style.

Depth – 30 inches, 76 cm

Height – 45 inches, 115 cm

Seat height – 18 inches, 46 cm
