From 1911, Noireaut studied painting at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris .
French soldier, he fought during the First World War in Belgium and was captured by the Germans on August 22 , 1914 in Tintigny . According to several paintings and drawings, he stayed in four German POW camps: Ahlen-Falkenberg Moor near Cuxhaven, Ohrdruf near Gotha, Kassel and Mannheim .
In the 1920s and 1930s, Noireaut lived among the painters of Mannheim and Paris. In Mannheim, he acquired a residential building on Drer Street, together with his German wife, Elisabeth Noireaut, ne Baro.
With the beginning of the Second World War , the couple left Mannheim for Paris where he settled after the war.
Noireaut 's work is essentially akin to French Impressionism .
After a phase of sober images made during his captivity during the First World War, he resumed his colorful style, especially during trips across France, Italy and Tunisia. Paintings after 1945 often represent Parisian street scenes.
As a portraitist, he directed series centered on the representation of men wearing a hat and wearing a beard, drinking a glass or smoking a pipe.
