Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1900s.
They are not signed by the maker, across the bridge they are engraved "8 Lens".

The shaped eye pieces are lovely and always very sought after and rarely found; you can see once opened up the columns are nickel, I love the combination of the silver and gold coloured metals.
Excellent working condition measuring 4 1/2" x 2" x 3 3/4" extending to 4 7/8"; the case is lined in silk, the original owner had written their name and address on the underside of the lid. The case has wear commensurate with age. The case measures 5 1/4" x 2 3/4" x 4 1/2".
Dating to c.1900 and English in origin.
