Description

This antique mahogany cylinder top bureau is a spectacular piece of furniture & is in excellent condition. I believe it’s French & dates from around the 1840’s period. Please enlarge all the images to see all the many fine details & see how the flame mahogany patterns run all the way down the front, plus inside the bureau too. This bureau has been fully restored & French polished to a very high standard. Check out the writing compartment, which has two banks of three small drawers, a middle cupboard & a pull out sliding tooled leather writing surface. The outside drawers have brass escutcheons, locks, fine dovetails & a working key. This bureau is of very high quality & not only is it a great looker, but it’s also a very practicable piece of furniture.
