This beautiful marquetry dumb waiter was made in the late 18th century.
It has 3 graduated circular dished trays each with fine marquetry in the Flemish manner most probably undrtaken by an emigre craftsman.
The top has a centre of ‘parrot’ tulips surrounded by a band of flowers.
The second tier has urns with tulips and foliage and the bottom tier has birds on a branch.
Both the lower tiers swivel around the centre column.
The feet base and columns all have marquetry on the available surfaces.
It stands on a tripod base with pad feet and original brass castors with leather wheels.
The whole dumb waiter can be dismantled by removing the turned wooden screws to the centre columns.
The table is in excellent antique condition showing no sign of damage or repairs and it has been cleaned and wax polished.
This beautifully decorated fine quality dumb waiter would make an eye-catching centrepiece to a sitting room or dining room.
