Mid-size 9ct gold Majex wrist watch, 1930.

The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 30mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs so although originally designed as a man's watch, it is really a mid-size piece. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for Glasgow (import mark), 1930. The case is in good condition and the coin edge is a charming feature.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish. One of the hands is a later replacement but still a period hand.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a Majex presentation box although it doesn't sit as it would have originally because the strap is longer.
