Description

Small George III Welsh oak open dresser base c.1790. At just 64" long it is shorter than many we see. Two plank top with particularly good grain and original applied moulding below. Over three drawers and an attractive shaped apron, continued on the sides. Turned and tapering front legs ending with neat pad feet. Thumb moulded edges to the drawer fronts with good quality Georgian pattern brass handles (later replacements to match the escutcheon plates which we believe to be the originals). Oak drawer linings and side panels. With an earlier repair to the rear left hand leg. Otherwise very good condition and superb original colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
